1. Summary

Smart Price Converter Pro is a privacy-first extension. It does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All processing happens locally inside your browser.

This extension does not use tracking technologies or analytics.

2. Data Collected

We collect no personal data.

The extension does not collect, record, or transmit:

Your name, email address, or any account information
Your browsing history or the URLs of pages you visit
The content of web pages you view
Any form input, payment information, or checkout data
Your IP address or any device identifiers

3. Local Storage

The extension stores the following information locally on your device only, using the browser's built-in chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your browser.

You can clear this data at any time by removing the extension from Chrome.

4. Network Requests

The extension makes outbound network requests only to public exchange-rate APIs in order to fetch current currency rates. No user data of any kind is included in these requests.

These requests are simple HTTP GET calls for publicly available rate data. If both services are unavailable (e.g., you are offline), the extension falls back to a set of static rates bundled with the extension — no network request is made at all.

5. Host Permissions (`<all_urls>`)

The extension requests access to all URLs so that it can read and annotate prices displayed on any web page you visit. This permission is used exclusively to:

Detect price elements in the page's DOM
Overlay or replace price text with the converted value

The extension does not use this permission to read page content for any other purpose, track your browsing activity, modify forms or payment fields, or send any page data to external servers.

7. Third-Party Services

This extension does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or external data collection services.

The only external services contacted are the public exchange-rate APIs described in section 4. Those requests do not include any user data and are solely used to retrieve publicly available currency rates.

8. Children's Privacy

Smart Price Converter Pro is a general-purpose utility and does not target children. It does not collect any personal information from users of any age.

9. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the Last updated date at the top of this page will be revised. Because the extension collects no personal data, changes are expected to be minor and informational only.
